DURING JULY/AUGUST OUR REGULAR WELLBEING PROGRAMME WILL BE REPLACED WITH A SPECIAL PROGRAMME OF EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES.

The only sessions that need to be pre-booked are the day trips and the BBQ.

You can sign up for these sessions at this link.

You are also welcome to come along to the hub at any time for a cuppa and a chat – the staff are always available for you.

Holiday Gatherings

Walks

Short easy walks around local parks and other green spaces.

HEALTH & WELLBEING ACTIVITIES

MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS ARE OUR MAIN WELLBEING DAYS

Our Wellbeing programme is on for most of the year – come and join us when you can. We also sometimes have other activities on other days.

Mondays and Wednesdays are planned so you can come to a morning activity and stay for a soup lunch, or come for lunch and stay for an afternoon activity. Or just drop in for an activity or lunch depending on your available time.

There is no need to book these sessions, but do text Ruth the day before if you need a lift to the hub: 07908 993456.

Mondays

SHIATSU WITH CORINNA

11.00am – 12.30pm

Group details:

Corinna will work with self-care shiatsu and qigong with gentle flowing mindful movement and touch including acupressure points for health and wellbeing.

These practices are helpful for releasing stress and tension as well as deeply relaxing and enhancing physical, emotional and mental health and wellbeing.

TWO MONDAYS PER MONTH

CHAIR YOGA

1.30-2.30pm

Group details:

Postures performed while seated and/or with the aid of a chair. These sessions are suitable for all abilities and will help improve mental health, mood and mobility.

TAI CHI WITH JAN

11.30am-12.30pm

Group details:

The Tai Chi sessions involve standing exercises to improve mobility, balance, flexibility and relaxation. Including warms-ups, Qi Gong exercises and Tai Chi related movements, the exercises are suitable for all ages from 16 and above, and for all levels of fitness and physical health.

These gentle and flowing exercises not only improve general health and well-being but also encourage calmness and mental relaxation.

The sessions will help develop physical and mental health using movement and mindfulness. Jan Kauskas has been practicing and teaching Tai Chi in Glasgow for many years.

WELLBEING WEDNESDAYS

1.30pm-2.30pm

Fridays

WALKS

10am-12pm

Details

Every two weeks or so we have a group walk around local green spaces. These are on easy paths, usually no more than an hour to walk, finishing with a chat and a cuppa at a local café.  You can bring your cared for with you for these walks. You can either make your own way to the start point or get picked up by the minibus.

ART CLASSES

SOUP LUNCHES

Mon & Wed 12.30-1.30pm

Soup lunches on Mondays and Wednesdays in between the wellbeing activites. While this is free, we would appreciate any donations you can make.
