Walking Football
Every Friday in the month of March we will be holding Walking Football sessions at our all weather pitch. This activity is for anyone, no previous ability necessary, both male/female participants welcome. We need at least 6 people for the activity, so do let us know you are planning to come: contact Ruth 07908 993456.
Garden Consultation
At our new centre we have a large open space which we want to develop into a functioning garden with space for raised beds and space for relaxing and social events. We will be holding a consultation with Abi our garden designer who will be showing what options are possible for our space, so you can choose what you would like to see in our green space. Thursday 7th March, 10.30am.
Wellbeing Wednesday
Capacitar* & Assertiveness and Confidence Building Wellbeing practices of Pal Dun Gum, Salute to the Sun and Emotional Finger Holds with Ruth Forsythe. Assertiveness and Confidence Building with Jessica Smyrl. How to say 'no' positively, improving communication skills, and dealing with disagreement and conflict. Wednesay 20th Mar, 1.30pm *Capacitar is a blend of wellbeing practices from around the world.
Laughter Therapy
Laughter Therapy is the treatment of anxiety, depression and other saddened mental states through means of laughter. It improves one's overall well-being by relieving the pains and stressors of life. Wednesday 27th Mar, 1.30pm.
Song writing
These sessions will give you the opportunity to explore stories and issues which are important to you as we use these to create poetry or song or music. You don't need to have any experience in any of this - just bring you and we will help you with the rest. Wednesday 28th Feb, 6th Mar & 13th Mar with Siobhan from Calming Tigers.
Write down your family stories and memories.
Creative Writing taster with Linda Jackson. This session will give you some guidelines on writing life stories, recording family memories, or imaginary stories. Plus learning a bit about poetry.
