Additional Funding for Unpaid Carers

January 2021  This month the Scottish Government announced an additional £750K for unpaid carers in Scotland. Extra funding to support unpaid carers - gov.scot (www.gov.scot)  Funding will be administered to Local Authority carers services, by Shared Care Scotland.  It comes in response to concerns about increasing pressure on carers – particularly while many traditional respite breaks are restricted or unavailable.  The funding is designed to allow Local Authority carers services in Glasgow to react flexibly to the needs of carers in their area. Carers Hub & Create Live! Zoom arts project

 Glasgow East End Community Carers is joining Create Arts to run a 7-week visual arts programme for carers and former carers registered at the Carers Hub.  Sessions are free of charge and will be run by Zoom on Wednesday mornings from 10.30-12.45. Covid-19 Vaccine – Information for Carers

Unpaid carers are a priority for the COVID-19 vaccine. The information below will tell you where you are on the priority list.  Unpaid carers aged 16 - 64 are included in group 6 on the priority list for the COVID-19 vaccine.
